The new drug trabedersen (AP 12009) is currently being tested in different clinical studies. At present, the following trials are recruiting patients:

Brain tumors

An international clinical Phase III trial, known as the ‘SAPPHIRE’ study, is currently recruiting adult patients with recurrent or refractory anaplastic astrocytoma (high-grade glioma WHO grade III).

Tumors are defined as recurrent if they have been successfully treated, but have returned. Tumors are defined as refractory if they have been resistant to previous radio- or chemotherapy or other therapeutic treatment or are worsening. Trabedersen may not be used for the treatment of brain metastases from any other tumors. For further information, please visit our website www.anticancer.de.

Pancreatic carcinoma and malignant melanoma

A further clinical study of trabedersen (AP 12009), involving patients with pancreatic carcinoma or malignant melanoma is ongoing. We would like to point out that the drug trabedersen (AP 12009) is not yet approved for market. For legal reasons, its use is restricted to patients participating in our clinical studies and is not available from Antisense Pharma GmbH or any other source, therefore.
